Opportunities
Volunteering? It's about sharing your talent, your skills, your time to help others in your community.
You are unique. You can make a difference. It's just a matter of working out how.
So, what do the opportunities look like?
-
Be a v youth worker at Juicy Blitz in Lawrence Weston, working with young people aged 11-19. Volunteer youth workers help manage the drop in sessions and support young people in running and managing the project work in the evenings. Projects include healthy eating, drugs awareness and anti-bullying.
-
v media projects: an exciting opportunity to use/learn media skills. From writing and directing a short film to web/graphic design, use your skills in a variety of community projects.
-
v design: producing graphics, leaflets and posters. Training on relevant programmes such as Adobe Photoshop is available, all you need is an interest in art.
-
v crew: you will be part of a production crew and would be trained in all aspects of film production. An interest in video, music, acting and/or performing is preferred, but no experience is required.
-
v event: are you interested in putting on events or celebrations? If so become part of a team that organises music, film and celebration events - you decide what event you want to create and then we can help you gain the skills to do it!
-
be a v advisor: do you have, or want to have, the skills to run things? As an advisor you'll be part of a steering group to help decide what projects to run, what equipment is needed and where to find other like-minded young people to help make a difference in your community.
-
be a v peer educator and get involved with the UNITY project. If you are interested in celebrating the culture and people of Bristol, we want to hear from you. You can gain new skills, meet people, make a difference and get your voice heard by becoming a peer educator for the UNITY project.
