We run several projects, which include many exciting and engaging activities for young people.

Juicy Blitz

Juicy is a place for young people aged 11-19 in and around Lawrence Weston to meet and get involved. Our juice and smoothie bar was proposed, refurbished and developed by young people. More...

Moving on Up

Moving on Up is a project for 13-19 year olds to engage in positive activities across four youth organisations in Bristol.  More...

As well as these current projects, BREAD has also run many other successful projects over the years.  The following examples involved many young people in innovative work.

Sexual Health Peer Education Project (SHPEP)

This project involved training peer educators, aged 14-23, who then delivered a wide range of friendly, non-judgemental workshops on issues such as contraception, sexually transmitted infections, safer sex, peer pressure, relationships, pregnancy and sexuality.  More...

Afrikan Culture & Identity Project (ACI)

ACI worked with young people of Afrikan-Caribbean, Afrikan and dual/multiple heritage within Bristol.  Its aims were to foster a sense of pride in identity and heritage for young people whose history and culture are not represented positively in the mainstream.  More...


Unfortunately, the funding for these projects has expired - we are seeking more funding.  The results of evaluations of these projects have been used to develop more projects and activities.
